National Blinds Service
The majority of our services are performed at our facility in Marin County, but you can drop off your window coverings at any of our three locations. For an additional Trip Charge we're available to come to your home to pick up your items for service and reinstall them when the service is complete.
Window Covering Repairs
We carry parts for the vast majority of Hunter Douglas products, which allows us to quickly repair products at our Novato shop instead of sending them to Hunter Douglas for service.
- We can repair broken cords / string on the majority of products regardless of manufacturer.
- For older shades, cord locks or other elements may be damaged and causing the string / cord to break.
- We can only replace cord locks and other mechanisms on Hunter Douglas products.
- PowerRise motorization has been discontinued and parts are no longer available.
- Generation 1 PowerView motorization parts may no longer be available.
- We cannot repair damage to the fabric, though some items may be cleaned.
Hunter Douglas Warranty Processing
As a Hunter Douglas Gallery we're able to process Hunter Douglas warranty items for all Hunter Douglas clients.
- The Hunter Douglas Lifetime Limited Warranty does not cover expenses for processing the warranty, shipping, etc.
- Clients of National Blinds receive free warranty processing for the first year after installation.
- After the first year, and for clients that purchased from other dealers, we charge a nominal processing fee based on the size of the window covering.
Ultrasonic Cleaning
We offer an ultrasonic cleaning option that can provide a deeper cleaning than what can be done with basic care and cleaning. Given the fragile nature of window coverings, there are limits to what can be cleaned.
- We cannot clean old or damaged products where the cleaning process may damage the item.
- We cannot clean blackout fabrics as the process will damage the item.
- We typically cannot remove mold or liquid stains like wine or coffee.
- If the fabric can be safely bleached then we can attempt to add bleach to the cleaning, but success is not guaranteed.
